Asking Others to Protect Our IP

The NDA: Asking Others to Protect Our IP

A Non-Disclosure Agreement is a contract where you ask someone else to protect your IP.

There are many practical limitations to NDAs, and it really comes down to trust.  If you trust someone, an NDA is a good thing.

If you do NOT trust someone, do NOT do an NDA with them.

There are practical realities to how well an NDA will protect you, so you need to be aware of those risks and make good business choices.

IP contamination is a real problem in many collaborative communities.  This is discussed in the second video in this lesson.
