The Second Principle: When We Help, We Do So Freely and Openly
Collaboration is a choice.
We choose to collaborate, and there are times when we cannot collaborate. We make the choice – and we need to respect someone else’s choice to collaborate as well.
The etiquette of collaboration is that we want someone who is actively engaged, helpful, and shares their good ideas. We don’t get that when the other person is unwilling, too busy, or has other commitments that prevent them from collaborating.
There are times when collaboration will not go well, and there are times when it is simply magical. We need to be aware of the pitfalls so we can avoid them.
